- Bud McMullen is hosting this years Pumpkin Carving Contest. He'll provide the newspapers, floor space, countertops, etc. The HOT Bears will supply drinks and 12 pumpkins to be carved. Bring an exacto knife (Dollar Tree has them) and a snack. The WINNER will receive two tickets to any Zach Scott Theatre production during their current season. Other prizes will be awarded as well!!!! SO... BRING YOUR CREATIVITY!! If you want to bring your own pumpkin to carve...feel free to bring it along!! The more the merrier...or should we say SCARIER!!!

Looking for some fun and camaraderie outside the traditional gay bar scene? Want to help “Keep Austin Weird”? Then join the Guerrilla Queer Bar movement. The Guerrilla Queer Bar meets the 2nd Friday evening of each month at a different non-gay (ie: straight) bar in the greater Austin area. Go to www.SmokingBanana.com to find out when and where the next “invasion” takes place and what the uniform will be for that takeover. And keep in mind, in order to keep the invasion a secret as long as possible, the bar is usually revealed 24 hours before the actual invasion begins. See you there!
